The library of Udalguri Polytechnic serves as a vital hub of knowledge and learning for students and faculty. It is well-stocked with a rich collection of general books, reference materials, newspapers, and syllabus-oriented texts prescribed by the Directorate of Technical Education, Assam. In addition, the Learning Resources Centre (LRC) provides access to a wide range of study materials, ensuring that learners have the resources they need to enhance their academic growth and research skills.
The library is dedicated to creating an environment that promotes reading, self-learning, and knowledge exploration, making it an integral part of the institute’s academic framework.

Udalguri Polytechnic Library Rules
Library Timing: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. ( on all working days)
The students, faculty members and other staff memebers of Udalguri Polytechnic are allowed to use the library.
Every visitor must enter their names and sign the Gate Register available at the entrance of the library
Students are allowed to borrow books from the library only on production of their authorized or valid Library card.
Books lost, torn or defaced in anyway will have to be replaced or paid by the borrowers.
Each student will able to borrow 2 (two) no. of books for a duration of 15 days only. A fine of Rs. 5 per day will be charged for each book kept beyond the due date.
Students can reissue/renew a borrowed book for additional period of 10 days only. After completion of that period, a fine of Rs. 10 will be levied per day for overdue books.
The final year students should return all the books issued from the library for obtaining “Clearance Certificate”.
Silence have to be maintained in the library. Mobile phones should be switched off inside the library.
Reference books, Complimentary books, Newspapers, Journals/Magazines, Reports and Question papers are not allowed to be issued from the library.
Personal belongings like bags, umbrellas, personal books etc. are to be kept in the table near the library entrance at one’s own risk.
Anyone who violates the rules of the library would be liable to lose the priviledge of library membership.
